How to shoot the perfect face profile outline photo

Did you see the magic happening in the video above? Turning face profiles into a authentic piece of jewelry is a delicate project. Most of it is on us, but we require a bit of your help to make the perfect piece of jewelry. We like to tell you more about taking the perfect face profile outline photo to make sure your custom fine jewelry design is as accurate as possible.

To shoot the perfect face profile outline photo there are a few things you need to keep in mind

To capture the face profiles of your loved ones into your jewelry we need to have clear pictures of what they look like. Even though you might know your darling to be a smiling, glass-wearing person, that’s not how we portray your heartthrob in the jewelry design.

What you have to do to:

  • Take of your glasses
  • Pull your hair back
  • Close your mouth
  • Stand against a light, even background
  • Look to the side, so the camera only sees 1 eyebrow
  • Have your camera(wo)man point the camera at your nose
  • Stop smiling (just for a second) and
  • CLICK!

This is what your picture should look like:

And this is what you shouldn’t do

Just to make sure you take the perfect picture, this is what you shouldn’t do:

  • Don’t you smile (just while the picture is taken, after that please smile as much as you can!)
  • Don’t wear your glasses
  • Don’t open your mouth
  • Don’t look straight into the camera
  • Don’t look up
  • Don’t look down
  • Don’t make the camera see more than 1 eyebrow

So your picture shouldn’t look like this:
